I would like to find someone to rebind my mom's Bible to preserve it for grandkids. It is in pretty bad shape and would need a completely new cover. It was published by the World Publishing Co. of NY, but, it doesn't have a published date. I think she obtained it sometime during the early 1930s. I would appreciate any recommendations, particularly if somewhere in NC.

You could try Dea Sasso in Asheville: http://www.deasasso.com/contact.html

Alternatively, you could contact any nearby institutional libraries (universities, etc.) and ask who they use. Sometimes an institution's in-house binders will also do outside work.

I should warn you that custom work like this does not come cheap. A lot depends on how bad "pretty bad shape" is, the size of the book, whether you want leather or book cloth, etc. Most binders will give you an evaluation and estimate, but would, of course, need to see the book.
