Looking for a book

Do not remember who wrote it. Do remember was about a girl who moved into a house and a ghost lived there. One quote was "my body aches my flower breaks." She has dreams about her and the ghost having sex. Stops eating and taking care of herself and in the end dies to be with him. Anybody know this book? Thanks

Sorry for the delay, but one of the things I don't know is how to deal with unwonted praise! Sorry Jenny! I remember that one of Ray Gordon's many novels had a ghost, but the supernatural hasn't been given much attention in what I've read.

Tough one. Sounds like maybe a short story. I see your problem, J58. Following your footsteps with the obvious start - googling "my flower breaks" - brings up (excepting literal flowers) only one item: an erotic poem. But the generic 'sex with a ghost' brings up the usual 70 million results, and adding the term 'story' or 'book' only gets us down to 20 million or so.

On the bright side, I learned from Wikipedia that SPECTROPHILIA is the sexual attraction to ghosts or sexual arousal from images in mirrors, also the phenomenon of sexual encounters between ghosts and humans.

So there's that.
