Hi. My name is Robbin Miller. I published my first picture book titled, "Playgroup Time." It is about my son meeting a new friend at a structured playgroup at an early intervention program where he cries on his first day. Through a few itty bitty mishaps and adventures, my son demonstrates to his new friend how much fun playgroup is to play with other children.

The theme is promoting inclusion and friendships at an early age.

I have a children's book that could use some attention! It's called "A Midsummer's Glimmer," and it would be pretty awesome if someone reading this gave it a try, or if you knew a blog that might be interested in reviewing or promoting it :)

Here's the blurb and Amazon link:
http://www.amazon.com/Midsummers-Glimmer-Connie-L-Smith-ebook/dp/B015RZHGZO/ref=...
Every year on midsummer's night, seven-year-old fairies are sent into the forest neighboring Ariashon, their kingdom. The magic of that place and the night's enchantment unite to give color to what have been plain throughout the fairies' whole lives—their wings!
This year is Kiara's turn, the youngest and most mischievous of Ariashon's princesses, and she must be careful, be curious, and be brave if she wants to earn as many colors as possible for her wings.
This is a prequel to the Paranormal Romance, In Your Wings, explaining how Kiara came to have the most vibrant wings of her people. It can also be read as a stand-alone for younger audiences.

Thanks!

Title: The Other Side
Genre: YA Fantasy
Synopsis:

Thomas is a 13-year-old boy who doesn’t fit in. He doesn’t know why until he meets Cindy, the woman with the red hair and red eyes. She tells him he is a wizard and takes him off to the magical world. He begins to attend the School of Merlin, but doesn’t fit in there either. Even as a wizard, Tom is unique. He is the first wizard to be born to Wanderers (humans without magic). As Tom tries to adjust to this new world, he is plagued by recurring dreams of blood and murder. With the help of his few friends, he goes on an adventure to discover the meaning behind the dreams and his unusual origins.

What Tom doesn’t realise is that his life is in danger. A powerful group of wizards known as the Le Fay don’t want him around. They see Wanderers as an inferior race – one they should be ruling over. The son of a Wanderer being a wizard is a danger to their ideals and so, one way or another, they want him gone.

Hello!

My book's info:
Title: JAZZ DAY: MAKING OF A FAMOUS PHOTOGRAPH
Author: Roxanne Orgill
Illustrator: Francis Vallejo (me)
Publisher: Candlewick Press
Release Date: March 8, 2016
Link: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0763669547/ref=nosim/librarythin08-20 + https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/25893604-jazz-day

What happens when you invite as many jazz musicians as you can to pose for a photo in 1950s Harlem? Playful verse and glorious artwork capture an iconic moment for American jazz.

When Esquire magazine planned an issue to salute the American jazz scene in 1958, graphic designer Art Kane pitched a crazy idea: how about gathering a group of beloved jazz musicians and photographing them? He didn’t own a good camera, didn’t know if any musicians would show up, and insisted on setting up the shoot in front of a Harlem brownstone. Could he pull it off? In a captivating collection of poems, Roxane Orgill steps into the frame of Harlem 1958, bringing to life the musicians’ mischief and quirks, their memorable style, and the vivacious atmosphere of a Harlem block full of kids on a hot summer’s day. Francis Vallejo’s vibrant, detailed, and wonderfully expressive paintings do loving justice to the larger-than-life quality of jazz musicians of the era. Includes bios of several of the fifty-seven musicians, an author’s note, sources, a bibliography, and a foldout of Art Kane’s famous photograph.

Hi All,
Lizzie in the Land Beyond and Snail's Pace are both YA sci-fi fantasy books available for free on Smashwords this month. I would also be happy to provide hard copies for honest reviews.

Captured by witches, kidnapped by a dwarf, enraptured by river sprites -- will Lizzie ever find her way home? And if she does... will she want to go? https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/650863

Snail's Pace is a novella which throws Victorian orphan Susannah into the challenging diversity of an alien spaceship. Can Susannah survive as governess to a snail child? Snail’s Pace is a quirky science fantasy, a “comedy of manners that is unlike any you've read” according to Lisa DuMond of SF Site https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/564018

Complete with duct tape, wasp spray, and a healthy dose of sexual tension, MURIEL AVENUE SLUTS is a decidedly feminist coming-of-age story with a dark edge and plenty of heart. #stopslutshaming

"They're closer than you think." A group of teenagers take on the demonic world in order to free one of their own from an eternal curse.

Bad luck seems to follow Grace Fortune wherever she goes. She was orphaned at a young age, and her musical talent got her accepted to a prestigious school for the arts, where she was caught in the middle of horrific school shooting that nearly takes her life.

But then she meets gorgeous loner, Jared Lorn, and falls madly in love. There is only one problem. Jared is not exactly human. He's a Nephilim, an angel/human hybrid, descended from a cursed line of fallen angels known as the Watchers.

Having a half-demon boyfriend who's under a curse from God can be tough enough. But then Grace decides that she wants to help free Jared from the curse by killing his angel father, Azazel, who is bound up in the Abyss, where he will be judged at the End of Days.

She has a powerful ally in her guardian angel Ariel, who has given her a weapon: a Song that can tame demons. With a crew of loyal friends, Grace and Jared will travel to the ends of the earth, battling the forces of heaven and hell that seek to defeat them. Yet as their love grows stronger, they will find themselves in danger of succumbing to the very corruption that caused the Watchers' downfall.

FORLORN is told from both earthly and heavenly perspectives, and attempts to portray the supernatural world according to biblical standards.

Hi, I'm offering free PDF copies of my clean YA ghost story Lost in the Shadows. I am hoping for reviews posted to Amazon, GR, LT, or anywhere else you might feel inspired to post. Please email me at jsgreen.lost@yahoo.com. Thanks!

It's not uncommon for people to go missing in a vast and wild place like Alaska. But in a rainy forest just south of Juneau, it seems to happen more often than usual.

'Don't go hiking in the woods around Shadow Creek.' That's what parents in the small town of Kane have told their teenagers for nearly a hundred years. Because if ever a place deserves its name, Shadow Creek does. The trees grow taller and closer together than elsewhere, casting the forest into deep gloom. Ferns and shrubs seem to swallow trails and mosses cover everything else.

Shadow Creek is a beautiful and tempting place, but there's also something menacing about it. Everyone in town knows the story of the Witch of Shadow Creek, although few suspect it's anything more than "just a story."

When Jack Strader and his dad move from California to reopen the Shadow Creek Lodge, they're just looking for a change – a change of scenery, and a change of pace. But Jack's about to find out that Shadow Creek is a place where the border between this world and the next is sometimes thin.

Hi, I am looking for reviewers for the first 2 books in The Adventures of George and Flanagan series - 'The Headmaster's Cave' buff.ly/2n41dYW & 'The Bone Whisperer' buff.ly/2g90wff
The Headmaster's Cave:
No one goes into The Headmaster’s Cave.
George Stewart is no hero, but when his friend disappears he must confront his deepest fears to rescue Dougie and finally uncover the mystery of The Headmaster’s Cave.
The 100th anniversary of the disappearance of seven children and their Headmaster is approaching. The knowledge that the infamous Headmaster Henry Morris, George’s ancestor, may have been implicated in their disappearance has haunted his family for generations. When George and Dougie receive an unexpected email stating that the mystery has been finally solved, Dougie and Katie try to persuade George to journey with them. But not even the enticement of uncovering the mystery can tempt George to follow the word of a stranger to the dangerous and ‘haunted’ cave. Only when Dougie goes missing, will George and his friend Katie, accompanied with his dog Flanagan, journey to rescue their friend.
On their way, they must not only battle their fears, but overcome the local bullies, nature's deadly obstacles, and Old Maggie and her dog pack. But that’s nothing compared to the terror that awaits them in The Headmaster’s Cave, when the mystery is finally revealed.
The Bone Whisperer:
Who couldn't resist the lure of a treasure map and the prospect of untold riches?
But, as George and Flanagan are about to discover, treasure hunting is a dangerous business. The stakes couldn't be higher as Tam McMaster, local bigwig and 'first man of Ballymagee', plans to build a new property development exactly where 'X' marks the spot. Can George and Flan stop the development and save the treasure? And, more importantly, can they stop the destruction of a beauty spot that is a safe haven to Ballymagee's wildlife?
Along the way, George must convince Katie and Dougie to help him battle his own demons as the curse of the mysterious White Lady strikes again.

Hello Library Thing members!
I’m a writer making the switch from traditionally published (seven books, with two anthologies edited) to indie publishing. I taught Creative Writing at the university level for fifteen years. I’m now going indie and really excited about it! Finally, I get to focus on the genre that I have read my whole life and really love! It started with The Water Babies, went on to the Narnia books, and has just carried on. Maggie Stievater is a current favorite author. Francis Hardinge is also an extraordinary YA fantasy writer. It’s so interesting to ask myself as a writer that perennial question of How can I make this new? How can I make this fresh?

If any of you are interested in reviewing my forthcoming book, I’d be delighted! Here are details.

Title: Jorrie and the Skyhorse, Book 1 of the Five Gates trilogy
Author: Zoë Landale, Publisher: Salish Sea Publications
Website: http://www.zoelandalewriter.com/
Length: 80,000 words
Genre: Young Adult fantasy
Sexual content: none
Release date: March 21, 2019

Blurb: Strange creatures slip through the dangerous Five Gates that open onto remote Satter Island. When Jorrie runs away from home to Satter Island, she bonds—inconveniently and irrevocably—with a wolfhound. After the dog is blasted with a fatal curse, Jorrie, aided by an ancient skyhorse, must reclaim her magical talent in time to try to save the dog and herself. But untaught, and on the run from a dark magic user who wants her dead, can Jorrie regain her power fast enough?

Among these characters is Ches, a gorgeous vampire with a conflicted conscience, who becomes Kallie’s guide and blossoming love interest. She also crosses paths with Queen Hartley, a manipulative witch who has the power to strip away one’s memories and imagination, which brings a bone chilling new meaning to “off with their heads.” In The Search for Alice, Kallie starts to realize that her Wonderland is just as frightening as her own reality and that she cannot always run away from her problems. She must figure out a way to defeat Queen Hartley and return home before it is too late, but she soon learns that escaping Wonderland means leaving Ches behind forever...

Queen Hartley has launched an attack, but a rebellion is forming. Kallie realizes that her return to Wonderland has become something more than chasing after the unknown. It’s her destiny and it’s up to her to tap into her inner strength to help Wonderland and defend the magical community before it is destroyed by darkness. Kallie will do anything to protect Ches, but at what cost? As much as she wants to believe that true love can conquer all, sometimes there is more at stake, but is she truly ready to sacrifice any chance at leading a normal life? Looking for a review / thoughts on a book called Avania. It is a Y.A. fantasy that follows the more traditional epic fantasy layout than the popular paranormal genre.

"Ava has spent her life in the shadows as a protector of royalty. For everything she has done well in her life, she still fails at being exactly who her kingdom wants her to be. A twist of fate gives her a new beginning. But, when the time comes where she can finally choose her own path, how will she decide between duty and destiny?"

It's set in a world with swords, sorcery and a dark antagonist:

>3 lsmith335: Laura I am a new author who has recently published my trilogy, The Antunite Chronicles, and would love to have a review of one or all the books. I would categorize them as allegorical speculative fiction—they have Sc-Fi, adventure, and satire elements and are targeted to YA. Book 1: Antuna's Story is more of an adventure, book 2: The Rise and Fall of Antocracy is satirical, and book 3: Antunites Unite is definitely dystopian.

I suppose if I can request a review for Wings of Nialoca, I will.

Wings of Nialoca, Book One: The Spectre's Eye (2023)

Wings of Nialoca is a total subversion of the fantasy genre, where light and darkness are equal, true good is lost to them and true evil is lurking right behind them. On an alien planet that is still in their medieval ages, Nialoca is home to many races. But a one-of-a-kind being with unique ties to the common Quilish religion has destroyed the gods of the planet, casting a shadow of clouds across Nialoca to blot out the eyes of the afterlife, Alhark.

But the gods had a backup plan. Two teenagers from very different worlds find that they have not only been gifted with rare artifacts containing the magics of light and darkness, but have been given the last remaining powers of two of the deceased gods, the Seers of the Sun and Moon. Now they trvel cross-country training in their magics, and searching fore the only way to defeat the tyrant warlock before he gets his hands on the most powerful magical artifact of all, a jewel that can control the dead: The Spectre's Eye.

The tales of soft toys and witches

"Now that I have become mature, the cold has visited us too often, and no one liked it. The moment was approaching when I should look for a spouse and enter into a marriage relationship, build a family and live separately from my parents. But the unpredictable frost thwarted all plans.
Walking through the snow, I felt with disgust how my paws were freezing. Today I wanted to look for a new hole or cave, but the cold discouraged all thoughts and desires. The icy touches caused the fur to fluff up, and I turned into an ugly lump of matted fur. What male would want to look at me? No one."
