Yes, thanks, very interesting. I'm not inspired to read more Robbe-Grillet (excruciatingly boring), but I'll certainly look for Catherine's L'Image. Oh, and >2 lennynero:, Metzger's film as well.

Huh, never realized that Private afternoons of Pamela Mann and The opening of Misty Beethoven were Metzger's work.

All his movies sound delicious, I wish they weren't so expensive... Therese and Isabelle was the first one I saw, and during a fancy anthology retrospective in a proper art cinema too.

Therese & Isabelle and The Lickerish Quartet are my fave non porn films of his. I wish they would restore T&I, I've got it on an 11 year old dvd, that looks pretty grotty.
