Well, it was a very good book. But sometimes Amir's actions made me squirm. His lack of courage, and the way he treats Hassan, made me lay down the book several times in disgust. But at least the character development was good, reflecting that most people are a combination of good and bad.

I agree - it's definitely a book to read, if only to be able to say you have. Some gorgeous writing and an engaging story with interesting characters.
