I'm excited to road trip by book around the country! I decided to count a couple of previously-read books (Texas and Virginia) to get a little head start.

realized I have a tag called "reading the states". Oops, guess I've tried this before! I'm not add the books I had because I really don't remember them well. Might have to reread. Here are the two I had tagged.

West Virginia- Small Town Odds by Jason Headley
Montana- The Secret Life of Cowboys by Tom Groneberg

There is an older group on LT called Reading the States. They listed their reads on the threads for the individual states, rather than recording their own journeys around the country. Maybe you were over there at one point?

Could be...I'll have to head over there and check it out! Thanks!

Finally reading a book I feel like fits into a specific state for this challenge- The Lobster Chronicles by Linda Greenlaw. This takes place (unsurprisingly) in Maine.

Apparently I read a lot of books set in Europe! And a lot that "travel" through many states.

I loved her location descriptions. The setting is crucial to the story which makes me like the story more. I was always hungry reading about the restaurants too :-)
