December 2013: How many categories have you read?

I was thinking that even though my progress seems slow, I've actually read a lot of new classes since beginning the challenge 6(!) years ago. I wish I had a record of where I'd started. So going forward, I'm going to make a note of where I am at the end of every year, which will hopefully be encouraging to look back on later. Feel free to join me!

Er, but actually counting the classes will take time, since I also need to make some revisions. I'll post the actual number later.

I am a huge dork and therefore have kept a spreadsheet.

When I started the challenge in 2009, I had:

Classes: 10/10
Divisions: 66/99
Sections: 178/919

As of 12/11/13, I have:

Classes: 10/10
Divisions: 78/99
Sections: 257/919

I'm currently reading a new section (981), so I expect I'll add at least that one before the end of the year.

I've made the most progress in the 5xx and the least in the 7xx.

Hello Lorax. I've just started the Dewey Decimal challenge. I'm almost exactly where you were when you started.

It looks like you haven't worked on this challenge for several years. Did you enjoy this challenge? Have you given it up? Do you have any suggestions or advice?
