I just stopped laughing at a publisher's blurb for a book which referred to the narrator's 'alto ego'.

I suppose that one of these would allow someone to sing duets with themselves ...

Perhaps they have a higher opinion of themselves than someone with baritone ego?

And yet a castrato ego may have very low self-esteem, indeed.

But somebody with an altar ego would be holy indeed no matter what his voice was!

The narrator is a pothead?
