type in something you have or have not done;

" I've never been water skiing"

Then type;
But the person below me has ________
( hikied the himalayas or grows giant sunflowers or whatever you like)

The next person then says yes I have or no I haven't but the person below me ......

(you can shorten it to TPBM if you like, so I'll begin;

I've never been to Alaska but the person below me has a water garden

2justjukka
Juil 24, 2013, 10:16 pm

Alas, I do not have a water garden, but I do have a potted garden.  I should go water that, now.

I've never gone sky-diving, but TPBM is a thrill-seeker.

3jugglingpaynes
Juil 24, 2013, 10:57 pm

Um...does juggling knives and torches count?

I've never been stranded on a deserted island, but the person below me has cracked open a coconut.

4pollysmith
Juil 25, 2013, 7:33 am

I've never cracked open a coconut but TPBM has more than one pet

5grkmwk
Juil 25, 2013, 2:19 pm

Only if the dust bunnies count!

I can't spend all day in the sun without burning, but TPBM knows how to sail a boat.

6pollysmith
Juil 26, 2013, 7:13 pm

No, but I can paddle a canoe!

TPBM cans their own fruits and/or veggies

7grkmwk
Juil 31, 2013, 11:02 am

No, but I wish I knew how.

TPBM is currently (re)reading a Harry Potter book.

8luna_lovegood
Août 4, 2013, 8:45 pm

I'm not currently rereading a Harry Potter book, but TPBM has hiked in the Himalayas.

9pollysmith
Août 5, 2013, 7:11 pm

Luna! We have missed you in the Who am I thread! We thought you were eaten by Smaug!

No Never hiked the Himalayas, going upstairs is enough for me.
TPBM has taken fencing lessons

10jugglingpaynes
Août 6, 2013, 6:35 am

Does stage combat count? I used a broadsword.

TPBM has been president.

11theretiredlibrarian
Août 7, 2013, 6:13 pm

I was once president of my storytelling guild. I am currently the president of my church's United Methodist Women, but would gladly give it up if someone else wanted it. That's pretty much it...I really don't like being in charge of stuff.

12Mandy2
Sep 22, 2013, 2:44 pm

I was president of my youth group.

TPBM has more than one cell phone

13pollysmith
Sep 22, 2013, 6:11 pm

I do actually, a virgin mobile and a Iphone 4, the virgin needs some minutes bought so I'll do that soon
TPBM has the new Iphone 5

14chg1
Sep 23, 2013, 4:54 pm

nope, a desktop is sufficient; and it is awfully hard to lose/misplace it.

TPBM waterskis

I don't, nor ever have.

TPBM also plays TPBM at the other long running game (which is now on its ... 79th? incarnation) (my mistake - 80th!)

16RandomActofMuse
Sep 24, 2013, 1:19 am

I haven't posted in that group yet, but I'm also just returning from an almost two-year-long self-imposed hiatus from the internet. I oughtta be asleep but insomnia has kicked in again tonight.

TPBM is, like me, an insomniac.

17grkmwk
Sep 24, 2013, 1:19 pm

Fortunately, no, although I have had two episodes of insomnia since April - not pleasant.

TPBM gets (overly) excited about a new pair of socks!

18chg1
Sep 24, 2013, 2:02 pm

How can one get excited about something as mundane as socks? It usually means that one must replace* the ones that are worn out (*ah, for a girlfriend who practices the lost art of darning socks!).

TPBM likes durability in their purchases.

19pollysmith
Sep 28, 2013, 2:31 pm

To a point, but shopping for new stuff is fun!

TPBM enjoys walks in the woods

20RandomActofMuse
Sep 28, 2013, 5:38 pm

18: Why don't you learn how to mend your own socks?

19: Not unless I have mosquito repellant. Those little six-legged vampires are *awful* here.

TPBM prefers walks on the beach.

21grkmwk
Sep 28, 2013, 8:29 pm

#18: I was replacing my favorite pair, which were a fun multi-color stripped pair, that had finally worn out after 7 years. So, although socks are generally mundane, these weren't, and my new stripped pair aren't either!

No, while I do enjoy beach walks, I much prefer the shade of the woods - I'm too fair-skinned for much beach time!

TPBM prefers hot tea to hot chocolate.

22pollysmith
Oct 3, 2013, 11:30 am

I can do either, with a slight edge on tea....

TPBM can't live without caffeine

23Tid
Oct 3, 2013, 12:10 pm

I have to, it's embargoed! Sad really, as I just love the smell of fresh roast coffee.

TPBM rebels at putting sugar in coffee.

24jugglingpaynes
Oct 3, 2013, 4:10 pm

I take my coffee black. And cold-brewed. Caffeine rules.

TPBM has started thinking about Halloween costumes.

25RandomActofMuse
Modifié : Oct 3, 2013, 5:21 pm

Yes, namely that I think we probably won't do them again this year. We live in an area that just doesn't have a lot of kids and there aren't any kid-friendly Halloween things around here. And my kids don't seem to care about them anyway. (Sad for me, I love dressing up fr Halloween!) We didn't do costumes last year either (but we had also just moved in and were still unpacking/settling) and there were no trick-or-treaters at ALL. Maybe next year we'll have the funds to take a trip somewhere more kid-friendly for Halloween.

TPBM is waiting for November 1st to stock up on cheap candy and next year's Halloween decorations/supplies.

26pollysmith
Oct 20, 2013, 8:25 am

well of course!

TPBM is ready to put up christmas decorations already

27Jim53
Oct 20, 2013, 11:31 am

No, at our house, Christmas decorations go up after Thanksgiving.

TPBM is enjoying not having to run the heat or the air conditioning.

28theretiredlibrarian
Oct 20, 2013, 9:38 pm

Yes! Yesterday was the first day with no a/c, and not yet cool enough fof the heat. This being Texas, it could go either way for the next few weeks. Sometime we use both on the same day.

TPBM has a fireplace and has used it recently.

29Rose_Weasley
Nov 1, 2013, 6:47 pm

I have a fireplace but am cleaning it currently. I will probably use it soon.

TPBM Went trick- or -Treating last night

30jugglingpaynes

I did take my daughter trick or treating. I'm a wee bit too old... ;o)

TPBM is about to sneeze! Wait, no... TPBM is about to yawn!

TPBM is also on LT while at work (ahem). I should go now...

32Rose_Weasley

No, but I did use it at school today.

TPBM should probably got to bed right about now.

33theretiredlibrarian
Nov 16, 2013, 9:28 pm

It's not even 8:30 and I am in bed. I had 2 glasses of wine at dinner tonight and feeling quite....mellow. Sadly, 2 glasses of wine is all it takes these days...

TPBM is made of sterner stuff.

34chg1
Nov 17, 2013, 7:03 am

I don't think so as I haven't had alcoholic drinks for at least five years: I had a tendency (understatement) to overdo it and it is cheaper this way (both financially and healthwise)...

TPBM is the picture of good health.

35jugglingpaynes

37theretiredlibrarian
Déc 3, 2013, 11:07 am

I'm making a doctor's scrubs costume for my granddaughter. Her mom is making her a doctor's kit for Christmas. Just finished a Christmas stocking for my new granddaughter Sarah. Hooking a rag rug. Three or four quilts started. At least two embroidery projects underway and in the workbasket. Mulling a scrapbook project in my mind. Half a dozen ideas/projects for school in process.

TPBM always finishes one project before starting another.

38grkmwk
Déc 5, 2013, 9:09 pm

Um, no. I should, but I don't!

TPBM is finished decorating for the holidays.

39pollysmith

TPBM adds new decorations every year

40Rose_Weasley
Déc 8, 2013, 12:52 am

Does buying new ornaments count? A lot of times I get ornaments for christmas, like these little ones shaped like birds that clip on instead of hang. I also sometimes buy them for myself.

TPBM has clip on ornaments.

41kirbyowns
Déc 10, 2013, 1:17 pm

TPBM has made a new craft this week.

The person below me just got a new puppy!

47grkmwk

No, but I got new books today. Doesn't that rank somewhere close to new puppies?! ;)

TPBM was also in pajamas before 9pm on Saturday night.

#47 New puppies and new books do have a certain smell to them, don't they.

Well since it's not 9pm here yet, I can say that I plan to be.

The person below me is procrastinating.

TPBM has homework to finish.

Mustache (sun)glasses-for my boy's Valentine's party. Since I teach all boys, I have to be creative with this party. So we're having a mustache bash instead of a heart and flowers shindig.

TPBM is settling down for the night.

No not me, but tonight i'll be watching DA

TPBM wonders what DA stands for?

55jugglingpaynes
Fév 2, 2014, 4:18 pm

Pff. It stands for Dumbledore's Army.

TPBM is now confused.

56chg1
Fév 2, 2014, 4:42 pm

Not about Dumbledore's Army; although being more pragmatic my first take on DA is ordinarily District Attorney. Life is confusing enough without multiple meanings for acronyms.

Speaking of acronyms, TPBM is or was in the military.

57pollysmith
Fév 2, 2014, 5:06 pm

No But two of my son's were and DA my dear freinds stands for Downton Abbey!

TPBM has never watched Downton Abbey

58kirbyowns

TPBM is watching or has watched the Big Game tonight.

59megkrahl
Fév 12, 2014, 1:31 am

I DID watch the "Big Game", mostly for the commercials.

Along with many others across the globe, TPBM has watched at least one event in the Sochi 2014 Olympics.

60theretiredlibrarian
Fév 12, 2014, 1:16 pm

I've watched bits and pieces; some figure skating, snowboarding and skiing events.

TPBM has actually participated in a winter Olympic sport (extra points if it was something really crazy like luge!). (I've skiied, but wasn't really crazy about it. I'm unathletic, hate the cold, and terrified of heights)

61kirbyowns
Fév 12, 2014, 7:36 pm

Ummm....I made a bobsled yesterday after school...out of cardboard....
That sort of counts. Right? We're using to teach our kids synergy in Friday's character assembly. It should be pretty funny. Then again we do funny skits. We'll, they're funny to us.

TPBM is doing a craft right now.

TPBM has exciting summer plans (and will tell us a bit about them)!

Juin 7, 2016, 10:18 am

We've scheduled our annual fishing trip to Port Aransas (red snapper, yum!) for later this month We've also made plans for our yearly family get together in Branson in July. We go to Branson because it's a place my parents enjoy going. Perhaps not exciting....but nice to have family together.

TPBM is experiencing a beautiful summer day.

70jugglingpaynes
Juin 7, 2016, 8:57 pm

It was a lovely summer day. But I do look forward to it returning to the 70's tomorrow! I like having spring between my winter and summer!

TPBM is reading the most interesting book and can't wait to finish (but really doesn't want it to end)

71grkmwk
Juin 8, 2016, 11:41 am

I am! I'm about two chapters from the end of The Likeness by Tana French, and it is gripping. I stayed up much too late last night reading, and am anxious for my lunchtime to arrive so I can keep reading!

TPBM is torn about wanting to know if early reviews of "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" are positive (previews opened last night in London), but also not wanting to read spoilers.

72Tid
Modifié : Nov 8, 2016, 4:57 am

No interest whatever in Harry Potter. Ever! ETA: Oops. I've just realised this game is within a group called Hogwarts Express. Gulp. What time must I turn up to be blindfolded and shot?

TPBM has read Bill Bryson's The Road To Little Dribbling and will tell us if he or she enjoyed it.

73foggidawn
Nov 10, 2017, 4:28 pm

I've read other Bryson books (and enjoyed them), but not that one. I thought I'd restart the game, though! Here's one to get the game going again:

TPBM has seen all 8 of the Harry Potter movies, as well as Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

74theretiredlibrarian
Nov 24, 2017, 11:31 am

I have seen all the HP movies.

TPBM has already made plans to see The Last Jedi on opening night.

75foggidawn
Jan 10, 2018, 5:09 pm

Alas, I have yet to see The Last Jedi.

TPBM prefers Star Trek to Star Wars.

76Tid
Jan 11, 2018, 5:39 am

I do! But perhaps the Classic Trek is now a bit dated, and TNG is a bit self-consciously PC. I guess my favourites were DS9 and Voyager. Oh, and the movies.

TPBM disagrees.

77theretiredlibrarian
Juin 12, 2018, 11:19 am

Couldn't get into the reboot of the movies, but my favorite ST movie is the one with the whales.

TPBM can think of another film franchise they prefer.

78Jim53
Juin 14, 2018, 7:54 pm

I'm not sure this is a franchise, exactly, but when I was very woozy post-surgery last year I watched a few episodes of the Phryne Fisher mystery series and enjoyed them quite a bit. I think there might have been a couple that I enjoyed more than once without knowing it.

TPBM has a favorite mystery series, either in print or on TV. If we're lucky, s/he will tell us what it is.

79Tid
Juin 15, 2018, 7:30 am

Currently, my favourite is The Bridge (Swedish/Danish TV series) which features a lead detective with a difference - she has Aspergers and finds it very difficult to get along with people, though she is an excellent detective.

TPBM also enjoys 'Scandi-noir'.

80foggidawn
Sep 18, 2018, 2:41 pm

Eh, it's a little too dark for me. Speaking of dark mysteries:

TPBM is excited to read Lethal White, Rowling's newest Cormoran Strike mystery (written as Robert Galbraith, of course).
