This is another great installment, albeit, as Pete says, quite a sad one. (review over here)

Spoilers:
Finished the re-read this weekend, review over at my thread. I liked this one better as a reread, I think. Especially Nuala's part of the story is really good, a classic greek hamartia. She's the one I'm most curious about what happens to post-Sandman!
I also really like the fact that it's never clearly stated that pesdky Desire is probably really behind the whole thing. It just has to be him/her who hired Loki and Puck. After all, he's been plotting to make Dream spill family blood since volume six, at least....

Recently finished this one. I particularly liked the way we caught up with some of the characters from previous volumes. And yes, it is sad.

Finished volume 9 and you were not kidding when you said it would be WOW. From start to finish this just kept me reading and I went to work yawning because I stayed up late reading when I should have been asleep.

Boy, the pages in this one just kept on turning! I think I was left sadder after Volume 8, this one leaves me with a sense of hope and continuity. I am choosing to believe that if The Corinthian can be brought back then so can Gilbert.
I gave The Kindly Ones 5 stars and look forward to a few more answers in Volume 10. I've posted my review to the Book Page.

This was one packed volume! I'll definitely have to do a reread at a later time. I really enjoyed the return of all the earlier characters.
