finished this some time back and it has been the best of the re-reads so far, must get round to reviewing it...

I finished this one a few days ago. I recall it as my favorite of the whole series, and a reread confirms it. I just love the dynamic between Dream and Delirium, and how Gaiman handles his brand of urban fantasy in this one.

And I adore how this volume is so central in the overall arc, without stressing it one little bit - how Dream's spilling of his own blood is slamming Desire's trap shut. Can't wait to reread volume nine now!

I really liked this volume but I think it will shine better as a reread down the road.

Finished this one last night and although I am starting to sound like a broken record, I think this may end up as my all-time favorite. I have posted my review on the main book page.

I agree with the rest of you. This was an excellent volume, one of my favourites so far. I know for a certainty that I will want to reread this one at a later date.
