Good afternoon,

My name is Madeleine LePere and I work in Program Planning at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. I found your contact information on the LibraryThing website - I hope you don’t mind me emailing you out of the blue!

I help coordinate a program called Gardner After Hours at the museum, which takes place on the Third Thursday of every month. Gardner After Hours has a young, social, lighthearted vibe, with gallery games, short conversations in the galleries, hands-on projects in our education studio, and cocktails around the courtyard.

For our December 20th Gardner After Hours, we’re partnering with Grub Street, an independent center for creative writing, for an evening of words, poetry, and literature. Few people realize that Isabella Gardner’s collecting career began with an interest in manuscripts and rare books, and that she was an avid supporter of writers in her lifetime. Join us for a book-making project in the studio, a twist on Mad Libs, performances by the Boston Typewriter Orchestra, and more! If you think this is something your members or colleagues would be interested in, it would be wonderful if you could share this information with them – here is the link:

Please let me know if you have any questions,

Many thanks,

MADELEINE LEPERE
