ok, those were both using the exact same code you used in #2, which is odd. Try it again - go to #2 and edit the message, copy the code and paste it into a new message. Let's see what happens.

Aha - it's if the img code is the very first thing in the message. If there's anything head of it, it works.

FWIW, they're all working for me. Four animated gifs of tea. Though #2 and #6 have code in front of the image too...

Nice coincidence: I was just looking up the illustrator of a book I got today (Professor A. Donda), Benjamin Courtault, and discovered on his blog the job he did for Wissotzky Tea--one of whose teas I picked up by chance last week (black tea in teabags, not bad, better than most).
Wissotzky Tee-Box
The tea I bought came in an ordinary paper 20-bag box, though.

>40 2wonderY: Could potentially be your browser or network. I always have two browsers: I use Google Chrome by default but keep MS Edge around for when webpages decide to not work, just in case it's a browser issue.
Sometimes, on certain networks like a business wifi or something I think there's a download limit so images might be blocked because of their download size, and you might get just the text. I know I've encountered some wifi systems that won't let me launch games but I can play them normally if I cut the wifi and use my data plan.

Tundra Tea Toss: Markus Siivola of Pangnirtung, Nunavut tossed tea in the air at -40 degrees C and it froze in the air, producing this photo.
