I'm familiar with Kendall Square's MIT Press bookstore - I like finding old/vintage books about science topics, so I'm looking for bookstore recommendations in other parts of Cambridge and Boston.

Pazzo Books in West Roxbury, Rodney's in Central Square, and Raven Used Books in Harvard Square are three of my favorites. None specializes in science, but they all have nice sections on science topics.

Commonwealth Books in Downtown Crossing is also a very good general used bookstore. www.commonwealthbooks.com/

Brattle Books between Park St & Downtown Crossing is amazing. I thought Rodney's closed?

I second Raven in Harvard Square. Fairly good science sections.

Nope, Rodney's stayed open at the last minute, although I think they lost the second floor space.

Their facebook page says they don't, but I think it's pretty recently that they lost it.

Oh. I'll have to check it out the next time I'm in Central. I went up there last year and it was still open then. Huh.
