My day off, so I am a total glutton. A huge stack of library books, a trip through the local specialty coffee shop and some very unhealthy drive through food. Can life get better?

Well, I could have beer I guess, but I am not much of a drinker.
I just finished Middlesex, while I am supposed to be working. Luckily I got most of my paperwork and charts done already. Just give the clinic a good scrubbing this afternoon, and no one will actually know that my breaks were - extended.

I am going to post a review of this book, but I want to let it steep in my mind a little more before I express an opinion.

i had a year of pure decadence, working for a company who owned nothing but the name and who could only sell large ticket items to governemnts and cash buyers because they had no financing left. I used their salary, expense account, car and perks to visit thrift store after book store all about my state, compiling some 500 to 600 first editions of such rarities as Edna Ferber's "Showboat" until they finally laid me off when the company merged with a more substantial one.
