I am trying to find a copy of Venus and Adonis by Barbarian Press. If anyone has a copy or knows of a copy that is for sale please shoot me a private message.
Thank you.

The first thing you should do (if not done already) is check the used book databases:
http://used.addall.com
This site is helpful because it looks at several dozen databases and can sort the aggregate results by price (up or down), title, etc. Put the publisher name in the keyword field.

Thank you for the link... sadly it turned up no results.

Tried that too... no such luck. It is sold out and they are not aware of any copies for sale.

Create an ID on www.abebooks.com and then add that book to your want list. They will send you e-mails when a book seller on their site lists that book for sale. You can also create a wish list/alert in Amazon.com and in Ebay as well and they will also e-mail you when the book is listed for sale. Hope that helps!

At C$275 this is not the sort of book purchased and cast off to the used book marketplace. It seems like the category called "fine press" books (something to mention at the outset for those who are unfamiliar with the press). Before Valentine's Day may not be a great time to look for this as it may be in greater demand just now.
Why this edition in particular?

I have not seen an edition that compares to it. If you know of one that you believe is nicer please let me know.

There was one on abebooks recently but it has been sold. I would create a wants list there.

It is definitely an uncommon book. There is always the chance that people who own a copy could fall onto hard times in this economy and sell it to a used book dealer or pass on and their loved ones don't have the same interests and sell it to a used book dealer. My books will likely take the second route when I pass. So, I still believe that listing your wants on a book selling website like ABE or on an auction site, while it can take time, is still the best bet for finding even "fine press" books and rare editions.
