Kindle Touch

I'm wondering: How annoying are the ads on the new Kindle Touch? Are they intrusive? Do you even notice them? I understand they are on the home screen, but how much space do they take up? Is an extra $40 worth it to not have them?

They are very small, at the bottom of the screen, not there when you are in a book, and they are a screensaver when you are inactive. I'm not finding them obtrusive at all.

I wouldn't be able to stand, from the principle of the matter alone, even without any practical effects.

I don't mind the at all and once you start reading the ads disappear unless you are inactive then they return as a screen saver until you start reading again. Also, sometimes they show a Christian book I'll be interested in reading.
