This has been my solution for a "PM" tea I can drink at night. It's even a mild soporific, rather than stimulant.

In Mexico, Laggs (the biggest tea company--lousy black tea, but interesting herbal blends) sells teabags of this mix, manzanilla (as camomile is called here) and anis. The anis zing lifts the camomile out of it's bland taste and also lends a wonderful aroma.

I like chamomile tea but I find that as a relaxing herb, it is actually not as potent (to me) as tulsi, or holy basil, which I like the taste of more, so I rarely buy chamomile tea. I do like the taste of chamomile too though.

I've never tried a blend of anise with chamomile. I do like anise in cookies though.

Sounds interesting, LintonRobinson; I'll have to look out for some.

I like chamomile tea but I cannot drink it as it makes my allergies go crazy. Love anise, however.

Mint tea makes me sleepy and prepares me for bed, but that's probably just a psychological thing.

I love mint tea; it's one of the few flavors I don't get tired of.
