Yeah, it's one of the ones that Robert McCammon pulled out of print, along with Baal and... Night Boat I think? Or Bethany's Sin? Or both?

I can't remember. But I know that he thought a number of his early works weren't up to snuff, so he requested they be pulled from print. It's a shame too because I read both Baal and The Night Boat and remember enjoying both. (The Night Boat was the better of the two if my hazy memory counts for anything.)

I have a copy of They Thirst, but haven't yet read it.

I own it as well. I do remember not being able to put it down when I first read it, but other than that not much stands out.

I just re-read They Thirst. I thought it was a lot of fun....again.

If you like werewolves, check out The Wolf's Hour also by Robert McCammon. One of my favorite werewolf books. WWII, Nazis and werewolves are a wicked combination.

I remeber liking The wolf's Hour also. The line that has stuck with me is "What is the lycanthrope in God's eye". I may have misquoted, it has been some years. Another one I may have to re-read.

I didn't think of it before, but it occurred to me. Another Nazi and combo. The movie Dead Snow, a Swedish movie, that offers zombie nazis. Fantastic. Sometimes watching or reading zombie stories you feel bad for the poor bastards. After all, it's not their fault they ended up as zombies. But in this case you are free to hate them and wish them ill without remorse. They were assholes when they were alive, and they are even bigger assholes as zombies.
