Book tastes

I like sci-fi, horror, weird fiction, fantasy, exploration, epistolary novels or ones written like journal entries, and so on. I like creative stories that are based less on tropes but where the authors build their own worlds that you can dive into. With or without some humor is both fine.

Don't get this!

Books about real world politics or basically anything too real, got enough of that in the daily news. Though I also liked Derzu Ursula and the letters of the Challenger Expedition which described real world research expeditions.

Other notes

If the author is a German then I'd prefer the German language version, otherwise English is also good. Thank you for the effort and take care :)
