Membrezaliya

I tend to loan out books that I like immediately after reading them - I want everyone else to read them, too. Unfortunately, this means that my library does not include many of my favorite books...

I never bend a page to mark my spot, and I try very hard to minimize creases to paperback bindings. I don't underline, *never* highlight, and don't write notes in the margins. However, I have started writing my name and the date in books, and I write notes sometimes in books that I give away as gifts. In my view, highlighting and dog-ears are annoying, but buying or receiving a used book and seeing the name of who held it before me, or a note from a previous giver, adds something special to the book.
