I have a huge number of cookbooks, a lot of Eastern religion and philosophy, a good bit of natural history and memoirs, some fiction, and a whole lot of miscellaneous.

A propos de moi

It's funny because I realize that this is the one place I do not need to apologize for or be embarrassed about the number of books I have (relative to the size of my house); the bizarrely eclectic nature of my collection; my love of book meta data, copyright pages, the smell and feel of old (and new!) books, etc.

I am semi-retired, still working half-time at a mid-sized academic publishing house. I have a preference for Eastern religion and philosophy. I'm a huge fan of Alan Watts, the Dalai Lama, cultural anthropology, and NPR.

My other loves (besides books) are my dogs, cooking, growing tomatoes, my adult children and grandchildren, and last but not least my very kind and sweet husband.

I'd like to visit India someday. Maybe I'll say more later, but for now, I'll stop here.
