A propos de ma bibliothèque
I make videos of some of my loveliest books that you can watch on YouTube or read on my blog Beautiful Books. Feel free to make a request if you're interested in looking at something in particular :)

It's a big library, so if you want to browse my LT catalogue, I recommend narrowing it down by choosing one of the collections that is interesting to you. (Or try favourites for a completely eclectic mix.)

Ebooks are not listed in the "my library" section, they are in a separate "digital library" collection - this mostly includes lots of contemporary YA read as arcs, trashy romance and some older SFF, a few popular science books that were too expensive to shell out for hardbacks, and works in the public domain. I have logged and reviewed our board games as well, but they have also been taken out of the normal "library" collection and are in their own special "games library" space. So if you want to browse through everything, you need to make sure you are have selected "all collections".

About 4/5 of the books (so far) in have been annotated in the 'comments' column with plot and illustration information, and sometimes a short review. Most books have been read so feel free to ask about them even if there are no comments up yet - if I can help, I'd love to. Any actual book reviews I've added are completely random - they just happened to be books I was editing that I noticed had no reviews at the time so I thought I may be able to help someone looking for them.

Books are rated against the following scale:

★★★★★ Brilliant, loved it so much I will stop you in the street and convince you to read it
★★★★ A great, enjoyable read
★★★ Okay, fine, readable, but I've probably forgotten the plot or main message within 6 months
★★ Disappointing
★ Very poor, to be avoided
A propos de moi
Our family library is heavy on Folio Society and Easton Press books (an expensive addiction), mythology (particularly Arthurian), children's literature & paper engineering, fantasy, scifi, cozy mysteries and trashy-but-fun paranormal romance. Reference books tend to focus on science & maths, philosophy, linguistics, environmental issues and information technology.

Our bookcases are all at least two- or three-deep and the floorboards are groaning. There are books everywhere, as you can imagine. (We do donate lots of them, but they seem to be breeding at night, or something.) Despite the prevalence of signed editions, we are not collectors - any book in the house is here to be read and loved.
