A propos de ma bibliothèque
This catalog includes both my books and my husband's, which explains the science/humanities mix. As much as I'd like to claim polymath status, those physics books nearly got tagged under 'magic', since that's my general assessment of their contents (For example, here's an actual snippet of conversation between my husband and me: "How do you think magnets work?" My answer: "Magic?").
A propos de moi

I'm a one time Classics Professor turned Stay-at-Home Mom/Lady of Leisure. I have a great love for books, naturally, and also lists. Lists of books are right up there for me (I have more than a few books that are lists of books, and I have a feeling that I'm not alone in this here). I have to admit that I'm a bit shy about becoming 'public.' I'm nervous about others looking at my books - is that weird? Anyway, I also love sewing and knitting, watching bad B-horror films, and I quite enjoy teaching as well. However, I'm not fond of talking about myself, so I'll just end this here.

What I'm Reading Now:

-Les Miserables (books by year - 1862)
-Mansfield Park (an unread book from my shelves)
-Kepler's Witch (wishlist book)
-The Only Good Indians (Alex Award)
-The Greek Coffin Mystery (mystery)
-Bear, Otter, and the Kid (romance)
-An Offer from a Gentleman (romance)
-Deathnote 1 (manga)
-A Handful of Dust (audiobook)
-The Dream Thieves (family bedtime read-aloud)
-A Brief History of Time (books I'm reading with my friend, Rob)
-A Court of Wings and Ruin (B&B retelling)

Books on Deck:
-(book from my Read Soon! Shelves)
-Loving-Kindness: The Revolutionary Art of Happiness (Buddhist reading list)
-Word to the Wise (cozy mysteries)
-Richard III (Shakespeare re-read)
-Land of the Free (100 Banned Books)
-Lest Darkness Fall (Green Dragon 1001 Fantasy Books)
-Titan (Locus SF Award)
-The Thief of Time (Boyne bibliography)

In addition to these, I have some classics-related texts that I'm working through (quite slowly):
-Asinaria by Plautus (reading in Latin)
-Iliad by Homer (reading in Greek)
-Latin Literature by Gian Biagio Conte
-The Cambridge History of Classical Literature Volume 1 Part 1
