- A propos de ma bibliothèque
- My books are scattered between two offices and various rooms in my home, and they are not in any particular order. I know where to find each of them though. I am however running out of shelf space. I actually got rid of some books a while back, but now I'm trying to figure out if I could get bigger cases to hold more books in our already existing space...
I've bought these books over the years, new and used, at book sales, at book stores big and small, here and abroad, at garage sales, online. Some were gifts, most are books I bought myself. I'm slowly but surely inputting all my books into LibraryThing, plus all my maps, plus I just found out you can put in CDs as well. I've finished inputting all the books in the house (well, except for cookbooks and lots of kids books), but still have tons of books at work to do one of these days...
Over the past ten years I've sporadically kept track of what I was reading, for those books I kept track of, I've included when I read them: {read in 1998-99} (referring to Sep 1998 - Aug 1999); or for the past year or so, {read in 2006}. But except for those books going forward, these tags are not complete.
I own almost all of the items I've listed here; for my own benefit I am also including some books that I have read but do not own (tagged {library}). Books tagged {friend} were written by friends of mine. (Note: I use {} to tag so these tags show up at the end of my tag list and tag cloud, "{" coming after lower-case z in the ascii coding.) - A propos de moi
- I love reading, though I suppose that's a prerequisite for this site. Despite efforts to clear the floor next to my bed by putting shelves there, the books continue to pile up on the floor. All of my bookshelves are full. I especially love reading novels. My interest in nonfiction waxes and wanes.
