A propos de ma bibliothèque
My library reflects my desire to collect and preserve first- or early-edition economic Truths once understood but since long forgotten. These books reflect the once-intense intellectual debate regarding money and the nature of human interaction and societal advancement through commerce. This debate is no where to be found in the modern world, precisely at a time when it is needed most. It is my hope, one day when the time is right, to rekindle this debate. It is through these books that I've realized the irony of our "knowledge economy" -- where most think they know everything, but really understand nothing (myself once included), especially with regard to how society and commerce work.
A propos de moi
I'm a CPA by day and a closet-economist by night. In 2005, I accidentally stumbled across Austrian-school economics. Since that time, I have become increasingly obsessed with understanding the origins and nature of money. This pursuit is the most important thing I have ever done in my life, especially given current events. Although my focus is on monetary and Austrian-school economics, I have found that these topics are tightly interwoven with (and greatly help explain) many things including politics, philosophy, religion, market psychology, formation of the US Constitution, and many other things. I am having a blast. My friends think I'm pressing new limits of uber-geekdom.
