À mon sujetMITCHELL R. ALEGRE is a consultant and trainer in personal and organizational effectiveness. Since 1974 he has provided training for business people, healthcare professionals, human service providers, educators, clergy, and others. He is principal of his own consulting company. He is also Instructor in Management and Leadership for Niagara University’s College of Business Administration. He serves as Advisor to the University’s Interdisciplinary Minor in Leadership. He has served as Senior Consultant for the Healthcare Careers Center of the University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, as Training Associate for the Institute for Work/Family Balance at the University at Buffalo, and as an adjunct faculty member for other colleges in Western New York. He also has served as a Certified Instructor for the American Association of Professional Consultants.

He has had numerous articles and three books published and has received several national awards for writing, editing, and marketing. He has been a recipient of the Trainer of the Year Award from the Niagara Frontier Chapter of the American Society for Training and Development. He has been recognized for Outstanding Teaching and Dedication by Niagara University’s College of Business Administration. His contributions to student development were recognized two years in a row by the University’s Office of Multicultural & International Student Affairs. The leadership program he designed for Niagara University received the New York Leadership Educators Consortium Innovative Program Award. He also has received the NYLEC Tom Matthews Visionary Award for his contributions to leadership education. He was the first to receive the Leadership Award presented by the Buffalo Chapter of the International Management Network and was similarly honored by the Buffalo Chapter of the International Management Council. He has been a recipient of the Langston Hughes Institute Volunteer Arts Award. He has been honored with the Angel Award from Niagara Falls (NY) Main Street Business & Professional Association and the Leadership Award from Hyde Park (Niagara Falls, NY) Business & Professional Association.

Mr. Alegre is a graduate of Hobart College in Geneva, NY, and holds a Master’s degree from SUNY at Geneseo. He has specialized training in human resource development. He also has had management experience. He is a member of the National Clearinghouse for Leadership Programs, New York State Leadership Educators Consortium, The Association for Contemplative Mind in Higher Education, and is Vice Chair of the Western New York Student Leadership and Engagement Consortium.
