A propos de ma bibliothèque: I love all books, but find myself gravitating most toward literary fiction, historical fiction, the classics, poetry, political nonfiction, and history.
A propos de moi: My debut novel, The Secrets We Kept, is out September 3, 2019 from Alfred A. Knopf (US); it will be translated into 29 languages.

I received me MFA from the Michener Center for Writers at the University of Texas. I studied political science at American University in Washington, D.C. and international development in Namibia and South Africa. Prior to writing fiction, I worked as a political campaign consultant.

My writing has appeared in The Southern Review, The Hudson Review, Crazyhorse, and more.
