A propos de moi

I live to read and read to live. I am a library trustee, former President of Friends of the Library, mom, wife, "Class Flower Child of 1970", and activist. I feel so lucky to live in The Bluest State, where we led the way on marriage equality and where no people have married hamsters (yet). Here at work I display my collection of photos with my favorite authors/illustrators: Tom Perrotta, Elinor Lipman, Jane Smiley, Walter Mosley, Larry McMurtry, Roz Chast, Maira Kalman, Lynda Barry, Eric Kraft, Andy Borowitz, Dave Barry, Larry McMurtry, Ron Rash, David Rees, and Russell Banks. I was too shy to ask Richard Price or he would be up there too.
I love great books made into anything better than awful movies. Skipped "The Golden Compass" movie but loved Ed Harris/Robert B. Parker's "Appaloosa" and LOTR.
