My library is a collection of several different libraries. My wife's grandfather became a pastor in the 1940's and gave us his entire theological library when we graduated from seminary. My mother also went to seminary in the 1980's and handed down a number of volumes when she retired. Of course, we have our personal libraries from college and seminary. Most recently I rescued a resource library that was headed for the dumb when our regional governing body offices where being moved.

I was born in Kansas, raised in Oklahoma, educated in Rhode Island, attended seminary in New Jersey, cut my teeth as a pastor in Iowa, and currently serve a small church in New York.

My wife gives me a hard time saying that I will not read anything with a plot. She's right. I tend to read books about things - how to do things - new ways of doing things- and the like.
