I started this account at the very beginning of my MSLIS in 2014. I added one book.

Eight years later, I have not only an MSLIS, but also a PhD in Library and Information Science, and I am returning to this project (and to the book, which I never finished reading 😅)

This library will cover my personal collection of books, zines, and potentially other media (video games? I have lots of those), and some of the subject areas I've got collections in include:

Linguistics
Library and Information Science
Ornithology
Baseball
Indie Comics
SkyMalls (yes, the ones from the airplanes)

Hi, I'm Shack, they/he!

I am a librarian, academic, and educator based in NYC. I am an Assistant Professor at Queens College CUNY Graduate School of Library and Information Studies (GSLIS). This library cataloging project is *technically* a hobby project, but it is also directly my area of interest and expertise.

I am queer, trans, neurodivergent, disabled, and an anarchist. This is a space for people who think those are all good things, I certainly do! I will not tolerate bigotry or hatred in my *gestures* area, so consider yourself warned.
