A propos de ma bibliothèque
There is, of course, a lot of literature and literary criticism, but also a fair amount of history, philosophy, and popular works, along with an eclectic array of other topics representing rabbit holes I have explored. Most of the books are physical, and I don't have enough shelf space for them (or, for that matter, very much space for more bookshelves. I have only entered a fraction of the whole in LibraryThing so far.

They include:
1. Books that I have read.
2. Books that I'm pretty sure I have read or think I might have read.
3. Books that I want to read.
4. Books that I ought to read.
5. Books that I wish I had already read.
6. Books that I consult, or have consulted.
7. Books that I have started and are in varying stages of completion, ranging from a chapter or two to almost finished. These include books that I have good intentions of finishing, books that I would like to finish, and books that I am not likely to finish but am unwilling to admit it yet.
A propos de moi
I am a retired English Professor who can now read anything I want without thinking about how I will teach it. I am currently sorting through the chaos of my library, which includes boxes of books I brought home from my office. I am a compulsive book buyer, so I have more unread and unfinished books than I could read even if I live to be 100. Partly out of professional habit, but mostly because of my short attention span, I tend to be reading many books at any given time.
