I love mysteries of all kinds, whether cozy, supernatural or hard-boiled. I also like to read history, ancient and modern.

I've been a reader all my life and a writer for the past decade or so. Though writing fiction was a lifelong dream, I came to writing late in life and by a rather twisted path.

After burning through several careers—including many years teaching English and a stint as a psych nurse in a crisis stabilization unit—my husband suggested I try writing. Being nobody’s fool, I jumped on the offer like my dog Pitch jumps on a bone.
Since there, I haven’t looked back and was delighted when my debut mystery Murder in Mystic Cove became a USA Today Bestseller.

A longtime resident of Florida, I recently traded all that heat and sunshine for the cool, rainy vistas of Washington state.

If I'm not reading or plotting my latest homicide, you might find me hiking a lonesome woodland trail with Pitch, both of us always on the lookout for where the bodies are buried.
