A propos de ma bibliothèque
Textile books: I am very picky. I expect a book I own to provide detailed and accurate information and years of inspiration. I am not attracted to the "quick and easy" aspect of anything. I want to know how something is constructed; why it works; and how to start designing my own whateveritis. I am attracted to historical information rather than faddish publications puffed with current styles but low on real content.

Fiction: I love the classics, children's books, and English mystery novels. I try to read more modern works, but I have so little time that I can never keep up with the latest authors. I don't own many fiction books, because I tend to read them quickly and there aren't terribly many that I know I will read over and over. Over the years I've become much pickier about my fiction too--if something doesn't grab me, with language or plot, I don't hesitate to abandon it. At this period in my life I read mainly for escape, but that doesn't mean that I easily tolerate bad writing or lousy plots.
