- A propos de ma bibliothèque
- I have found LibraryThing a wonderful distraction from the demands of real life.
My books reflect my interests in
* SF - books
* fiction - C19 and early C20, obscure stuff from Project Gutenberg, reprints etc.
* mental health/madness/Mad Studies
* community education/development,
* social theory/sociology,
* LGBT/gender/sexuality
* women's fiction
* old Penguins and Pelicans (which I collect)
* Ireland (where I am from)
* Scotland (where I live)
and a whole lot else besides.
My rating system is
1 star - hated it/couldn't finish it/disagreed vehemently with it
2 star - meh, I read it/don't regret it but...
3 star - enjoyed it, learnt some stuff, happy not to own it
4 star - enjoyed it, learnt a lot from it, agreed with lots of it, will recommend it widely, would like to own it
5 star - love it, want to buy it if I don't already own it - Lieu (géographique)
