A propos de ma bibliothèque
I absolutely adore my library, but I will be the first to admit that it could be bigger - growth is a good thing, right? My library is fairly evenly split between Fiction and Nonfiction and includes school books (with a complete set of the Library of Congress Subject Headings). While there is some variety, the core of my books are historical fiction and Greek and Roman histories. If anyone notices any glaring holes in my library, please let me know!

Having recieved a Kindle e-book reader for Christmas in 2010, I am now also cataloging my e-books in my Library. These are clearly labeled "Kindle E-Books" so as not to confuse them with my physical books.
A propos de moi
Well, what can I say. I am a thirty-something man that loves books and constantly learning. Sometimes it feels as if I will never loose that wide-eyed curiosity of youth, which is perfectly fine with me. There is so much to learn out there that I am sure I will be busy for the rest of my life. I have a B.A. in History and a M.S. in Library and Information Science, and I am now wondering what my next degree should be while beginning my career surrounded by books and information.

While I do love to learn about just about anything, I do seem to lean towards my love of history with a strong emphasis on ancient civilizations. I also claim to be a very amateur photographer and love to hike and travel. Even though it seems to be monetarily impossible, I hope to someday turn the entire map below red:

I tend to travel to areas that allow me to visit ancient historical sites (e.g. Greece, Italy, Cambodia, Guatemala, Peru), but don't mind getting away from it all on a quiet beach.

At home, I spend time reading books and reading about books. I also spend a lot of time with Amy walking Jacob (one spoiled black lab) in the woods.

I'm sure there is more to say, but I need to go search for some more books.
