A propos de moi
I'm the author of the best-selling memoir, THE $64 TOMATO, and 52 LOAVES. My next book, about learning French in middle age, is being released in September 2014. I've also been a frequent contributor to the New York Times and LA Times op-ed pages, where I've opined on such varied issues as Martha Stewart's release from prison, my conflicted feelings about about Christmas trees, what the honeybee crisis means to the home gardener, and the difficulties of being organic.
