A propos de ma bibliothèque
I've had to let go of so many books over the years, in spite of the fact I've never wanted to part with a single one. But I've managed to cling to the ones that meant the most, usually. Many of my deepest interests are obvious from my library, although a limited budget and even more limited space have kept me from adding many more books I would love to own. I think libraries tend to speak for themselves, so I'll let mine do that...
A propos de moi
I am a writer. That, more than anything, defines me.

I'm also legally blind, somewhere on the autism spectrum (only recently self-diagnosed, since I grew up when autism meant rocking silently in a corner and I was and am hyperlexic), and somewhat of an outcast, even among the outcasts. I feel most at home in the pages of a book, or in front of a sheet of paper with pen in hand.

I currently am befriended by two cats, and remember many more fondly. For a short time when I was younger, I was a letterpress printer. Handset type, handfed press. Later, I was a professional genealogist. I am obsessed with fountain pens, with printing, and with anything to do with writing or books. I'm also obsessed with World War Two, emergency preparedness, and various other things.

And I'm a Christian, and a serious one, but with no inclination to beat anyone else over the head with that. Many others who wave that label around make me cringe.

I wish LibraryThing had existed when I was younger. I'd love to have a record of all the books I've ever read. I spent my childhood doing almost nothing but reading.
