0 Stars - I either read the book too long ago to remember clearly what I thought, or I have not yet read it.
1 Star - The book was not worth reading.
2 Stars - The book was worth reading, but I did not enjoy it.
3 Stars - The book was worth reading and provided me with either valuable pleasure or knowledge.
4 Stars - The book was not only worth reading, but it also provided me with knowledge or insights that meaningfully altered my worldview. If fiction or poetry (and some nonfiction), I hope to read it again.
5 Stars - The book is a favorite of mine, though not necessarily without flaws.
Half stars are a result of my irresolution.

I try to read widely, though many topics are outside my understanding. My library does not reflect everything I have ever read; it especially lacks books from my childhood. What I can remember clearly has been included, for the most part.

I am a student. I read to learn about myself and others, to learn to write, and to enjoy masterful art.
