A propos de ma bibliothèque

My library consists of probably around 400 books at this point - many of them I have yet to catalog here on the site. I read everything from non-fiction scientific books to high fantasy. Sometime last year (2022) I realized that I have more books than I can seem to read at the rate I'd been reading - and I realized that if I didn't pick up the pace I'd probably die before I'd read even half of my library. So I read a lot last year, but this year my goal is to have read at least 100 books from the start to the end of the year (2023). The book's length matters not - only that it's a book. This simple rule has helped me read quite a large chunk of my library - books that were small and thin, but I'd been neglecting. Many of them were wonderful Christian texts, which I believe have helped me in both my ministry and my personal spiritual growth. Many of them I have since handed off to a fellow youth pastor friend of mine. I hope to clear out more of my library this year (that is to say, to have read enough books from my personal library that I wouldn't care to read again or make into a movie/show and feel good about passing along). As of updating my little bio here (June 2023) I have read 50 books thus far for the year - half of my goal.

A propos de moi

My love for books started with Mary Poe Osborn's "Magic Tree House" series. After that, one of the first novels I read was Michael Crichton's "Jurassic Park". I grew up in love with the movies and thoroughly enjoyed his novels. I have now read hundreds of books of all different genres - both fiction and non-fiction.
