Books Published in the USSR. My library includes numerous volumes published in the USSR (including Progress Publishers, Foreign Languages Publishing Press, Nauka Publishers, Novosti Press Agency) and other former socialist countries (including Mongolia, Bulgaria, Romania, etc.).

Central Asia and Afghanistan. My library includes numerous volumes about Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and the history of Central Asia without specific reference to any particular state (ex. the emirates of Bukhara, Kokand, and Khiva).

Communists and the International Communist Movement. My library includes numerous volumes about or published by communists and their parties in Canada, the US, Britain, China, the USSR, Greece, Iraq, Sudan, Nepal, Japan, Cuba, India, Mongolia, Spain, South Africa, etc.

Anti-Colonial, Anti-Imperialist, and Socialist Revolutions. My library includes numerous volumes about anti-colonial, anti-imperialist, and socialist revolutions and struggles in Guinea-Bissau and Cape Verde, Ghana, the Congo, Eritrea, East Timor, Mozambique, Angola, Algeria, Namibia, Bangladesh, Kenya, Vietnam, Vanuatu, Fiji, Cuba, Russia, Mongolia, Korea, Grenada, etc.

The International Labour Movement. My library includes numerous volumes about labour struggles for higher wages, union recognition, shorter working days, etc. in Canada, the US, Britain, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Russia, China, etc.

A propos de moi

T. J. Petrowski is a neurodivergent political scientist and researcher specializing in Marxism, imperialism, international law, and ethnic and secessionist conflicts, with a focus on the former USSR, Central Asia, Afghanistan, and the Caucasus.

His work has been cited or published in various newspapers, magazines, books, and papers, including People’s Voice, Rebel Youth, CounterPunch, the Centre for Research on Globalization, Dissident Voice, Tesfa News, the Prometheus Institute, Press TV, the International Model United Nations Association, the Centre for Land and Warfare Studies, and The Sage Encyclopedia of Surveillance, Security, and Privacy (2016).

He was the Communist Party of Canada-Manitoba candidate in the 2016 provincial election for the riding of Burrows.

He is the author of the award-winning Nagorno-Karabakh: A Reassessment of the Armenian-Azerbaijani Conflict (2022), available on Amazon and Google Books. He lives in Winnipeg, MB, Treaty 1 territory, with his wife, their Ball Python named Penny, and their library of over 1,500 nonfiction books.
