- A propos de ma bibliothèque
- My library is my treasure! I am currently hoping to add a nice hard cover edition of the Summa Theologica to my shelf. My current gems are the 38 volume set of Early Church Father writings, the early 1900's Catholic Encyclopedia, and most of Monsignor Paul J. Glenn's Philosophy books. I am getting these books to prepare me for seminary, and better form my thinking.
Right now, my favorite addition to my library is my collection of philosophy and theology text books written by Monsignor Paul J. Glenn. Collecting these books has been quite an adventure. My acquisitions thus far have come from three countries and two continents. Most have been purchased from two sources in Canada. I have also had two sources in the United States of America. The Introduction to Philosophy was found in Australia. I do need one more book to finish my collection. That book is Apologetics. This is one of the easiest books to get, and I am going to find a copy of it in the UK for good story-sake. It will be delightful to tell. All of the books were in excellent condition, but for Dialectics(formal logic), but I am lucky enough to have a good friend, Dale Hayes, that owns a book binding business. He finished it the day that I went off-shore, so I will not be able to have it until June, when I get off the boat. I am looking forward to that most definitely.
I love R A Salvatore, and have read all of his Forgotten Realms books. I used to own them all, but continually passed them on as I read them. I once owned all of Tolkien's writings, but they disappeared.
The suggestions of Dr. Fischer at Clark College due to historical revisionism that are found in classes, the History Channel, and in textbooks caused me to gain a love for primary sources. This is what my library primarily (no pun intended) consists of. I love history, particularly Christian history (that means Western Civilization). - A propos de moi
- First of all, I am Catholic, loving and serving God, and being with Him in heaven are my foremost desires. I wish to do His will in all things. I am a Catholic of the orthodox variety (That means I am not a heretic, schismatic or Democrat).
