A propos de ma bibliothèque
Our Learning Resource Centre is spread across three campuses. In order to assist staff in locating books to support the PYP(www.ibo.org) framework, I have used tags, personal comments and reviews to link them to:

The Learner Profile: INQUIRERS, KNOWLEDGEABLE, THINKERS, COMMUNICATORS, PRINCIPLES, OPEN-MINDED, CARING, RISK-TAKERS, BALANCED, and REFLECTIVE.

The PYP Concepts: FORM, FUNCTION, CAUSATION, CHANGE, CONNECTION, PERSPECTIVE, RESPONSIBILITY, and REFLECTION.

The PYP Attitudes: APPRECIATION, COMMITMENT, CONFIDENCE, COOPERATION, CREATIVITY, CURIOSITY, EMPATHY, ENTHUSIASM, INDEPEDENCE, INTEGRITY, RESPECT, and TOLERANCE.

All of the books on this website are present on any one of the shelves of the LRCs at our school. In order to assist staff in locating the book without having to go to the OPAC (which is not user friendly), I have included a column with the Dewey Decimal number.

The main purpose of this site is to assist staff within our school; however it is also important to note, that this site can be accessed by a global community, so that I can share with collegues and other people with a passion for the use of literature in learning around the world.

Many of the reviews are my personal reflection on the book and how I see it connected to the PYP. If you feel that I have missed an important aspect of any these books, please let me know.

A propos de moi
As Head of Learning Resources in a Primary school I am ideally placed to pursue my two passions, literature and the wellbeing of children.
