I've got several thousand volumes, more hardbacks and QPs than mass markets, and am ecstatic at finding this website to try to catalog and get a real count of them!

I'm (permanent?) ABD History, teaching at community college in NC. My specialties are French Rev/Napoleon, Russian History, Chinese History, & 19th Century European. Other historical interests are Ancient Near East, Greece & Rome, India, & Central Asia. Primarily I am a diplomatic and military historian. Outside history reading I've been a scifi & fantasy geek since the late sixties, starting with Andre Norton and progressing to Tolkien, Lovecraft, Howard, and lately on to Pratchett. I've been a gamer (wargames & rpgs) since middle school, and now in my forties I've taken up marathoning to keep myself in shape.
