The Harry Thornton Library at the Pensacola Museum of Art (University of West Florida) is intended to function as a supportive extension of the permanent collection. The library’s materials are open to any community member with scholarly intent- whether it be teacher, student, or staff member. Our goal is to allow visitors to draw connections between permanent collection and library pieces. By preserving the Pensacola Museum of Art’s institute of knowledge, we at the library can offer all print works as an open resource; thus, promoting lifelong learning and exploration through the University of West Florida’s downtown campus.
