A propos de ma bibliothèque
About half of my books are mysteries, including those of Dorothy Sayers, Agatha Christie, and Georgette Heyer. More recent mystery authors whose books I seem to buy are Peter Robinson, Rick Blechta, Barbara Fradkin, and Donna Andrews.

My preferences lean to the classic puzzle mystery, but I read everything from the hardboiled to Walter Stewart's two delightful Wodehousian mysteries.

I also own Georgette Heyer's historical romances, most of Louis L'Amour's books, and a number of classics and from Chaucer and Donne to the Narnia books and Little Women. And there are a number of shelves of non-fiction, too.

I still go to a good novel when I am tired or need a respite, and reading energizes me. I love books!
A propos de moi
I learned to read by memorizing the stories my parents read to me from the few little Golden Books we owned. No library or bookstore in the small town in Manitoba where I grew up. As a somewhat lonely, creative child, I really did feel that books were my best friends.

I'm now the author of two adult mysteries in the classic puzzle style and eight books for teens, including five coming-of-age novels boys will read. I also edited the bestselling (in Canada) anthology, Hot Apple Cider: Words to Stir the Heart and Warm the Soul.

Plus I still read. A lot. I joined here so I can get my books in order. Now all I need is a lot of time to add books...
