- I wish I could say I was more well-read than I am. I am a lazy reader, unwilling to force myself to read more literate works. I like mysteries with well-drawn characters. Fiction is, after all, about the characters and then the drama in their lives. My cookbook collection is greedy, since there's really no need to have so very, very many of them. Besides cookbooks, I like European history, particularly 19th century England, gardening, birds, sewing, quilting, knitting & crochet (because I imagine I will do this some day) and a hodge-podge of other topics.

- To say I am a book addict is accurate. I have trouble saying "no" to interesting books that come my way. Consequently I am faced with the need to regularly downsize. Working as a purchaser in a library is not helping the addiction. I will eventually reveal more of this addiction as I finally begin to list the books in my collection.
