- A propos de ma bibliothèque
- Just started listing here; I own a few thousand books, but reserve this space for things I've actually read with lasting effect. In particular, some little-known thinkers (and famous precursors) whose ideas fortunately did not escape the notice of the sublime authors of the "Urantia Papers" (Urantia Book, Chicago, 1955).
The thinkers of my epoch (ca 1885-1935) were neither mainstream nor avant-garde of anything except the problem of modern religious living, and hence their work is unknown and uncelebrated in the present age. Their whole cultural reality seems to have been reduced to the physical existence of their books, all gathering dust on the shelves and back benches of our better academic and seminary libraries. - A propos de moi
- Age 56, with an old B.A. from a top university and a very unphilosophical day-job. Married, with 2 kids raised and out of college, I've taken over one of the abandoned bedrooms - a place of quiet study in the company of my books.
