I have over 2000 books registered on library thing and have reviewed several books for the early reviewer's giveaway. I recommend books to friends and relatives all the time, especially when I volunteer at library book sales.
I don't belong to a book club but influence the reading lists of friends who are book club members. The early reviewer's giveaways give me a chance to learn about authors that are new to me and if I like their books, I can recommend them to others. I attend the Malice conference and vote on the best books of the year.
A propos de moi
I am a lawyer who is retired from working full time as a Department Head for Family Court services. I am currently an adjunct professor at a local public university in the criminology, law, and society department. In my spare time, I love to read and collect good books. I especially love historical fiction, noir crime, and mysteries but I can curl up to a good novel by an author that takes on important issues. Biographies are another of my favorites. You can see from my book list that I am partial to Nordic, Israeli, and British mystery writers but I have my American favorites as well.

I have a huge list of favorite authors and as I collect books to read, I find library thing to be the best system I have ever seen to catalog my books and keep track of the books I enjoyed.
