A propos de ma bibliothèque
These are books that have accumulated over time. The first book I ever bought was the Complete Works of William Shakespeare in grade 8. I think I realized the high one gets from book buying and collecting and I haven't stopped since. The collection grew and grew. I bought most of my books from Indigo, Bakka-Phoenix Bookstore, or Amazon if they are brand new, from BMV, Willow Books, 10 Editions, and Eliot's Bookstore if they are second hand, and rare editions have often been found at flea markets, lucky sales, University of Toronto college book sales, and when I really wanted it from private book collectors on AbeBooks. Whenever I travel I often find myself buying books from used bookstores and mainstream bookstores. In 2017 I felt a bit overwhelmed not knowing exactly how many books I have and I needed a system to start organizing them. I got an account on LibraryThing and added them at random. I lost track, lost some, didn't have an order, and bought more. I suddenly felt overwhelmed by this account too. So impulsively I just deleted all my books. Now, in 2019 I decided to get a full grasp on my physical collection first, and then import it here methodically. Patience is key. It's still a work in progress, a growing organism...as all libraries should be.
A propos de moi
I love all kinds of books but have a soft spot for: islands, dragons, and pirates.
I am also interested in librarianship history, science fiction and fantasy, and rare books/ historical and analytical bibliography.

I am a full-time librarian working at a library within a specialized post-graduate college.

I completed my Masters Degree at the University of Toronto, iSchool (Faculty of Information) in Library Information Science (LIS) and the collaborative program Book History and Print Culture.

I also have an undergraduate degree from the University of Toronto specializing in English Literature with Minors in Book and Media Studies, and Medieval Studies.

I make videos about books in the Booktube community on YouTube. You can visit my channel and hear me talk about what I'm currently reading at https://www.youtube.com/c/InfiniteText
